The guide
How to buy a Royal Pop — official and aftermarket.
Everything you need to know before you buy the original watch, an aftermarket kit, or both.
1. Buying the official Royal Pop
The Royal Pop is sold as a Bioceramic pocket watch by Swatch — no bracelet included. Eight colorways, €385–€400 retail in Italy, and a mechanical hand-wound SISTEM51 movement. Swatch directs buyers to selected stores; stock for a specific store or model must be checked directly with Swatch.
2. Checking the secondary market
Start with the official retail price, then distinguish a seller's asking price from a completed sale. Compare condition, included accessories, location, taxes, shipping and observation date using the Market guide before committing to a purchase.
3. Wearing it — the aftermarket kits
Because the Royal Pop ships as a pocket watch, most owners want a wearable version. Aftermarket kits from PopMods add a full bioceramic case and bracelet — no separate adapter needed — across two collections, Ceramic Core and Pop Flex, in 21 colorways.
4. Buying safely
Whether official or secondary, verify the seller, ask for proof of authenticity photos, and prefer platforms or groups with an established transaction history. RoyalPopWatch does not process payments — always deal directly and carefully with the other party.
FAQ
Can you wear the Royal Pop on your wrist?
Yes. The Royal Pop has a bioceramic click coupler that lets aftermarket kits mount the watch on a wrist case — no drilling, no permanent modification.
Does the Royal Pop come with a wrist strap?
No. The Royal Pop ships with a calfskin lanyard, a clip, and a desk stand. A wrist solution requires a separate aftermarket kit.
What is the best wrist kit for the Royal Pop?
Full bioceramic kits (Ceramic Core, €120) match the original case material and include case + bracelet — no separate adapter needed. Most competitors use rubber or aluminum, which contrast with the original bioceramic case.
Will any strap fit the Royal Pop?
No. The Royal Pop uses a proprietary bioceramic click coupler — standard watch straps do not fit. The kit must be designed specifically for the Royal Pop's 40mm octagonal case.
Is the Royal Pop a wristwatch or a pocket watch?
Officially a pocket watch. With an aftermarket wrist kit it becomes a fully functional wristwatch — the original click coupler makes conversion tool-free and reversible.
